The Walker County Appraisal Review Board will begin Taxpayer Protest hearings typically in June and will continue to have hearings thereafter two to three times weekly until all timely filed taxpayer protests have been heard.
Notices of appraised value are typically mailed in mid-May. Taxpayers requesting a hearing before the ARB must file their protest no later than 30 days after notices are mailed to secure a hearing date.
Appraisers are available Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to discuss taxpayer questions & concerns prior to a formal hearing if desired.
